Tour Intensity
The 3 hour tours are operated by a high speed vessel, designed to get you to the whales faster and give you more time watching the whales than travelling to get there. Full walk around decks give you optimum opportunity to watch the whales at any angle.
There are 3, three hour tours available each day between August and October; Dawn, Day and Dusk.
Dawn Tour will be first out with the whales. Enjoy a morning cruise on the Bay watching the Sunrise over Fraser Island. Sit back and view the wildlife, birds and dolphins on your way to the whale pods. Enjoy the complete serenity of just you and the whales as they prepare for another day in the Bay.
Day Watch departs mid morning; you will arrive to the whales at the time the other vessels are leaving to head back to the shore. You will travel up along Fraser Island taking in the beautiful scenery to be virtually alone with the whales as they frolic in the waters breaching, tail and pectoral slapping.
Dusk Watch is ideal for an afternoon cruise and time with the whales. It is suggested that the whales are a little more active in the afternoon, however we cannot guarantee this. On your way back to the Bay, we will cruise along Fraser Island enjoying the afternoon sunset over the western waters.
