ABOUT

The Great Ocean Road is one of Australia’s most popular tourist destinations, known for its stunning ocean views and coastal roads.  This tour starts in Melbourne and takes you all the way to Adelaide along the Great Ocean Road, while passing through the Grampians.  

ITINERARY

Day one

  • Cruise towards the Great Ocean Road, stop to watch surfers in action at Bells Beach and Torquay
  • Visit the arty beachside villages of Apollo Bay and Lorne
  • Walk through the Great Otway National Park, some of the world’s oldest temperate rainforest
  • Finish the day at the famous Twelve Apostles and spend the night in dorm-style accommodation on the Great Ocean Road

Day two

  • Continue today along the Great Ocean Road, stopping at several extraordinary rock formations along the Shipwreck Coast, such as the Bay of Martyrs, London Bridge and Loch Ard Gorge
  • Lunch at Tower Hill Reserve, the site of a dormant volcano, lake, wetlands and habitat to lots of wildlife: emus, koalas, kangaroos, possums, echidnas and many types of birds
  • Visit the Grampians National Park, where you will visit the Brambuk Cultural Centre to learn about local Aboriginal history, and a guided walk to MacKenzie Falls
  • Accommodation tonight is in a shared wood cabin in the mountain range 

Day three

  • A long 2-hour hike to the Pinnacle in the Grampians National Park for awe inspiring views and lunch
  • Hit the highway for the last leg in to Adelaide, arriving at approx. 7pm 

DEPARTURE INFO

  • Tour departures are seasonal and are subject to change
  • During April to November departures are each Tuesday and Friday.  From December to March (inclusive) the trip departs every Tuesday, Friday & Sunday
  • On the day of departure, complimentary pick up commences from 6.30am in Melbourne City and must be booked with the supplier
