As part of the Kimberly region, there is no shortage of scenic attractions or points of interest to explore, either on foot or through one of many tour operators from Derby and the surrounding region. They do tend to be fairly spread out, with some of the most popular attractions – like Windjana Gorge, the Horizontal Falls, located well outside town. So, time is needed to truly experience this region.
If possible, try to time your trip to be outside the wettest months of the year (January and February), because although the raging waterfalls and roaring rivers look spectacular, tours and road access are limited during this time. Contact the Visitor Centre, located at our stop (08) 9191 099, for up-to-date information on tours and conditions.
