Greyhound announces new and improved daily service to Australia Zoo
We love wildlife here at Greyhound Australia! When the chance came to team up with another 100% Australian owned company to help preserve our native wildlife, we jumped at the chance!
On Monday the 2nd of March 2015, Greyhound and Australia Zoo celebrated the launch of Greyhound's new and improved daily coach services connecting Sunshine Coast passengers to Australia Zoo in Beerwah.
Joined by 91.9 Sea FM's Jess and guest host Lisa Hyde, plus Australia Zoo's exotic wildlife; holiday-makers, backpackers and Noosa locals enjoyed a free breakfast at Noosa Heads to celebrate the launch. Those that joined in the launch were also able to meet and have their photo taken with an impressive Boa Constrictor (Pablo), Iguana (Jub Jub) and colourful Macaw (Queto) - residents of Australia Zoo's newest exhibit, Bindi's Island!
The Greyhound coach on this new and improved service boasts the colourful Bindi's Island branding, showing off Australia Zoo's beautiful macaws and the lovely Bindi Irwin herself! With the new and improved service running daily tourists and locals a like can be easily connected between Noosa and this major tourist attraction.
The launch marks the continuation of a solid partnership that will not only boost tourism opportunities on the Sunshine Coast, but contribute significantly to the wildlife conservation efforts of Australia Zoo. Greyhound are proud to annouce that a donation of $2 per Australia Zoo Travel & Entry Package purchased will be given to the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital.
"This conservation donation is expected to amount to almost $50,000 per year, generating much-needed funds to save sick, injured and orphaned native wildlife patients at the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital, the major project of Australia Zoo's charity, Wildlife Warriors." - Australia Zoo.
The Noosa to Australia Zoo service has various stops along the way including Peregian, Coolum, Maroochydore and Mooloolaba to ensure that visitors to Australia Zoo can enjoy an adventurous and fun day out without the hassle of driving.
